For a targeted cryotherapy session, wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being cooled. If focusing on the upper body, a tank top or sports bra is ideal, while for lower body sessions, shorts or leggings that can be rolled up work best. Avoid applying lotions, oils, or self-tanners beforehand, as moisture can create discomfort during the cooling process. Loose clothing helps prevent marks that might affect the cooling wand’s effectiveness. Also, remove any metal jewelry or accessories near the area, as metal can become very cold.
️ ✔️ Whole-body cryotherapy: Involves stepping into a full-body chamber for 2-3 minutes at freezing temperatures to promote overall recovery and circulation.
✔️ Targeted cryotherapy: Focuses on one specific area (such as knees, back, or face) using a controlled stream of cold air for a more localized effect.
Cryotherapy is not recommended for individuals with heart conditions, high blood pressure, or circulation disorders like Raynaud’s disease, as the extreme cold can constrict blood vessels and worsen symptoms. Those with cold sensitivity, cryoglobulinemia, or cold urticaria should avoid it due to potential adverse reactions. People with respiratory issues, asthma, or chronic lung conditions may experience breathing difficulties from the sudden cold exposure. Additionally, individuals with severe diabetes, nerve damage, or neuropathy should be cautious, as reduced sensation could prevent them from detecting cold-related injuries. Pregnant women, those with seizure disorders, or individuals recovering from recent surgeries or open wounds should also avoid cryotherapy, as it may pose risks to their health or slow the healing process.
Targeted cryotherapy works by exposing a small area of the body to ultra-low temperatures (as low as -160°C) using a controlled stream of liquid CO₂. This cold exposure causes vasoconstriction (narrowing of blood vessels), reducing inflammation and numbing nerve endings to provide immediate pain relief. As the body warms up, blood flow increases, flushing out toxins and delivering oxygen-rich blood to the treated area, accelerating healing and recovery.
️ Pain relief – Reduces nerve sensitivity and inflammation.
✔️️Soothes discomfort – Helps ease tension and sensitivity in targeted areas.
✔️ Speeds up recovery – Supports quicker relief after activity or strain.
✔️ Reduces swelling – Helps with muscle tightness and puffiness.
✔️ Enhances skin – Leaves skin feeling firm and refreshed.
✔️ Gentle & natural – A non-invasive, drug-free wellness solution.
Yes! Cryotherapy is a well-researched and controlled cooling method, performed by trained professionals. The sessions are carefully managed, ensuring the skin is never directly exposed to extreme cold. However, individuals with circulatory concerns, heart conditions, or sensitivity to cold should consult a healthcare provider before booking a session.
While cryotherapy alone isn’t a weight-loss solution, it can support fat reduction by boosting metabolism. When exposed to extreme cold, the body works harder to maintain warmth, burning calories in the process. Many people use cryotherapy alongside a healthy diet and exercise routine for body contouring and fat loss support.
Most people describe it as a cool, tingling sensation rather than intense cold. The session is quick (usually under 5 minutes for targeted cooling) and feels refreshing rather than uncomfortable. Many notice immediate benefits, such as relief from tension and reduced puffiness, right after the session.
